'Fireworks' is a tall, mounding plant that spreads slowly through rhizomatous roots. Leaves are small, dark green and lance-shaped. In September, arching panicles of showy yellow flowers emerge, resembling fireworks, commanding one's attention. 'Fireworks' has sturdy stems, and will retain its nice shape without staking. This is quite a specimen plant for the back of the fall border.
